Mike de la Fargue, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hail & Cotton International Group, announced his retirement in May of this year. Mike joined HCIG in 2013. His retirement became official on October 31, 2018. Mike has been instrumental in broadening the Company’s international footprint and in building a strong group of leaders in each of its major divisions.
“Under Mike’s leadership, HCIG has seen growth in all three of its divisions. The senior team that he has developed is second to none and we look forward to their continued dedication and outstanding contribution to HCIG as they broaden their leadership roles within the organization. Following a transitionary period and Mike’s retirement, our three divisional presidents, Chris Cooksey (North America), Andy Spies (International) and Eric van der Linden (Dark Air Cured), together with Rod Roe (Group CFO) and Patricia Rietveld (International Controller), will continue as the HCIG Executive Committee and will report directly to the HCIG Board. We look forward to Mike continuing to actively serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors after his retirement and we wish Mike and his family the very best during his retirement”, said Chairman of the Board, John Ghee.
